Belgian Waffles
A filling waffle perfect for special occassions
Servings: 15
- 1 cup butter melted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp vanilla
Melt Butter
Heat waffle iron
Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Mix sour cream, milk, lemon juice, butter and vanilla in a separate bowl.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. It will make a rather thick batter. Let rest for 5 minutes.
Scoop 1/2 cup batter on heated waffle mold. Cook until golden brown. Repeat.
Leftover waffles freeze wonderfully for another day,
